Come Back Mummy, All is Forgiven…

Written by: Gigi's Blog, Posted in Haircare Community

….And I promise never to scream again when you’re combing out my knots!

My Mummy was in New York recently ‘working’ at the NaturallyCurly Pool Party and left Daddy in charge. Well….!

We’d been left firm yet simple instructions, so I don’t really know how it went so horribly wrong. The first day at Nursery was fine. My hair was still looking pretty and curly after Mummy did it before abandoning us.

Then as the days passed it became pretty obvious to the lovely ladies at my Nursery that we were ‘Home Alone’. Daddy took to grabbing my hair into a clump/ponytail and hoping for the best. To be honest I probably didn’t help as I screamed and ran every time he reached for my comb, but Mummy did tell him not to comb or brush if my hair was dry.

Oh Dear...

When I went to sleep he forgot to put my hair into a high ponytail, twists or plaits, so you can imagine what utter devastation we woke up to every morning.

... Dear...

To give him credit though he did save the day with Original Sprout Curl Tamer which kept the frizz and dryness to a minimum.

So Mummy came back, looking rather tanned, laden with presents and in shock. There was a lot of coaxing to get me to sit down in front of her – actually she had me clamped into place with her thighs. Then out came the Original Sprout Miracle Detangler, followed by gentle detangling with her fingers and my wide-toothed comb. I had a bit of tittle-tale session on how Daddy didn’t look after my hair, and she made lots of sympathetic noises. Eventually she washed and conditioned, again with my favourite Original Sprout Shampoo & Conditioner combo. My ends needed a bit of TLC, so she used some Shea Butter to sort me out. My hair is now back to it’s usual, stylish look.

So the lessons here were:

1. Mummies should never leave Daddies in charge.

2. Look after your hair at night!

3. When all else fails use lots of Leave-In Conditioner, even if you’re not sure what to do next.

So it was all fixed just in time for my Auntie’s wedding. Besides me sticking my tongue out, I think my Mum did a fab job – Pretty as a Picture!

I'm Back on Form!

All Fixed In Time For My Flower Girl Duties

I feel you! I am sorry to hear that. Knots hurt so much….
I am glad it all ended in a happy end. And my only advice is, learn asap all the clever tricks from your mum and join her on her trips to New York’s pool parties :)

Btw. you all look FABULOUS and the Flower girl in particular!

All is well that ends well.
Mom, you know that kids should not be left with “dad” for a length of time exceeding 12 hours.
    Lovely photo.
